Shani has over a decade of experience negotiating and drafting documentation for sophisticated commercial transactions with aggregate values in excess of $3 billion. Her work has taken her from Washington, D.C., to New York, Dubai, Salt Lake City, and most recently, Los Angeles. Shani has worked with a diverse group of clients and opposing parties, from individuals to large multi-national corporations.
After graduating Cum Laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003, Shani joined the Washington, D.C. office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. (now Norton Rose Fulbright), working in the firm's Project Finance group. Shani's practice continued with Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Shani represented local banks in real estate finance matters, and later in New York City, where she re-joined Fulbright in its Equipment Finance and Corporate groups. In 2007, Shani relocated to Dubai to work as an in-house legal advisor for Emirates Airline, where she negotiated and closed many of the rapidly-growing airline's operating leases and secured financings.
In 2011, Shani joined International Lease Finance Corporation (now known as Aercap), the world’s market leader in the leasing and remarketing of commercial aircraft to airlines around the world. While at ILFC, Shani negotiated and oversaw the documentation of over $2 billion of the Company's financings. She also advised senior management on a number of other commercial transactions, including leases and vendor agreements.
After twelve years in Big Law and the corporate world, Shani has launched her solo practice, which allows her to provide legal services to a diverse pool of clients -- from first-time entrepreneurs needing advice on a wide range of business issues, to large corporations seeking alternatives or supplements to their in-house legal departments and outside law firms. As a solo attorney, Shani is able to bring this strong base of experience to clients looking for sophisticated, practical legal representation at an exceptional value.
Shani lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two young sons, some of the fiercest negotiators she has faced. She is a board member of the West Coast Chapter of the American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro, a school for children with disabilities based in Ra'anana, Israel.
